Sony projectors debut at Gitex

Sony's professional services division, has launched three of its industry leading projectors at the Gitex Technology Week 2013 expo in Dubai.

These are 3LCD Laser Light Source Projector VPL-FHZ55, the 4Khome cinema projectorVPL-VW500ES and the Ultra Short Throw Projector VPL-SW536C.

Earlier this year, Sony Professional announced the world’s first 3LCD Laser Light Source Projector. The new model, VPL-FHZ55 is being showcased at Gitex and is a WUXGA-class (1920 x 1200) installation projector based on a blue laser light source.

Capable of achieving 4,000 lumens, it is one of the brightest projectors available in the market, and delivers a range of performance capabilities that eliminate many issues associated with conventional lamp-based projection.

The absence of a conventional lamp and mercury also makes 3LCD laser projectors virtually maintenance-free and eco-friendly, said a statement from Sony.

Visitors at Gitex will also get to see Sony Professional’s 4K home cinema projector, VPL-VW500ES. This will be the latest edition to its existing line up of several award winning home cinema projectors, it stated.

Featured at the show it demonstrates new levels of picture quality and perfection for home cinema viewing, the statement added.

Finally, the Interactive Ultra Short Throw S Seriesprojectors which incorporate new integration capabilities such as auto calibration, teaching features, video capture and video conferencing abilities, providing teachers / presenters the tool to deliver more engaging interactive presentations.

The VPL-SW536C Ultra Short Throw Projector is ideal for small to medium-sized, classrooms as well as meeting rooms, throwing crisp, easy to see images onto a screen, wall or whiteboard, said Sony.

The Wi-Fi module lets students and teachers wirelessly share homework, images and graphics from devices like PCs, smartphones and tablets, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
