ComGuard, a value added distributor for IT security products and solutions in the Mena region, has signed up an distribution agreement with GFI Software, a leading provider of web and mail security, archiving and fax, networking.

As per the deal, ComGuard will distribute GFI's portfolio of products and solutions in the region including GFI web monitoring, and network solutions including a vulnerability scanner, software for patch and log management and various monitoring, web and e-mail security solutions such as virus and spam filters, and endpoint security products.

And, it will work with its channel partners to identify sales opportunities for GFI products and solutions that would address the business challenges of end users.

ComGuard, in tandem with GFI Software, will work towards enhancing the awareness and demand in the market for its products and solutions across the region.

Commenting on the agreement, Mohammad Mobasseri, ComGuard senior VP said, "By adding GFI products and solutions to our portfolio for the Middle East region, we will be in a position to help our channel partners take advantage of an untapped and growing market in the region."

ComGuard and GFI will work closely together to establish stronger business links in the region and to successfully promote GFI products in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco and Iran.

The duo will also run special joint programmes like road shows, technical training for their preferred partners.
