Ras Al Khaimah and China have discussed the best ways to enhance bilateral ties between them and the possibility of opening commercial markets on both sides.

 

Trade exchange between Ras Al Khaimah and China in 2022 totalled AED41 billion ($11.17 billion), a growth of 42% compared to the previous year’s AED707 million. Imports from China made the larger share of the trade exchange at AED810 million and e-exports to China totalling AED130 million. Export to China was AED101 million.

 

Discussions between the two sides took place when Mohamed Mosbbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman, Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry received Zhang Yiming, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to UAE. 

 

Cooperation framework

The meeting, which discussed creating a cooperation framework, was held at Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce headquarters in presence of Youssef Ismail, Head of the Supreme Committee of Saud Bin Saqr Establishment for Youth Project Development, Eman Al Hayyas, Assistant Director General of the Commercial Services and Business Development Sector and Ahmed Al Shemeili, Assistant Director General Supporting Commercial Services Sector.  

Al Nuaimi highlighted the incentives provided by Ras Al Khaimah to foreign investors, the business-friendly environment, efforts of the departments and authorities in Ras Khaimah to provide attractive business environment. 

 

Yiming stressed that the bilateral relations were growing at a fast pace in all fields. He pointed out that the Chinese school which has been established in Dubai with Chinese teachers, is considered the first Chinese school abroad with support of the Chinese Government and efforts of the leadership of the UAE. He further noted that UAE accommodates the largest Chinese community with over 300,000 Chinese citizens living here peacefully.-- TradeArabia News Service
