Bahrain pavilion at Gulfood saw over 5000 visitors

Over 5,000 visitors from across the world visited the Bahraini pavilion at the just concluded Gulfood 2020, held in Dubai from February 21 to 25. 
 
Visitors of Bahrain Pavilion got acquainted with the services and products of 13 Bahraini startups, small and medium companies operating in the food and beverage industry over the five days of the food expo, the organisers of the Bahraini pavilion said.
 
These visitors were a diverse group of decision makers, business owners, CEOs, buyers and traders in addition to information gatherers interested in the food industries. Visitors were mainly from Ukraine, GCC, Brazil, France, Poland, South Africa, India, the United States of America and Seychelles.
 
The Bahraini companies that participated in Gulfood 2020 this year were Trafco Group, Awal Dairy, Deeko Bahrain, Food Supplies Company Limited (Foosco) and Bakemate Factory for Bread and Pastry Mixes.
 
Eight startup Bahraini food companies also participated in the pavilion. These companies were Joey’s Pizza, Lofty Donuts, Rosehill Mart, Halwachi Sweets, Ooh La La Paris Bakery, Gahwah 360, Green Path and Swalif Tea.
 
Several Bahraini companies and factories participating in the Bahraini pavilion at Gulfood announced finalising commercial deals and constructive talks with international investors, traders, distributors, and airlines in the region and the world. These Bahraini companies also had the opportunity to distribute samples of their products and brochures containing company information for visitors from around the globe.
 
The participation of the Bahraini national pavilion in the exhibition came with the aim of strengthening local industries and opening new export channels for Bahraini companies in the local, regional and international markets. This comes within the framework of Bahraini companies’ endeavor to find new markets and reach new importers, investors and partners, to increase the market shares of the local exports to global markets, and strengthening  the contribution of the food sector to the GDP of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
 
This is the seventh year in a row for Bahrain pavilion to participate in the Gulfood exhibition. As always, the pavilion succeeded in enabling companies to showcase their products, showing their production capabilities and highlighting the quality of food and beverage products in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the ability to compete with counterparts from global countries.
