Bahri showcases range of services at Morocco expo

RIYADH, April 23, 2019

National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri), a global leader in logistics and transportation, recently showcased its comprehensive range of maritime services and solutions during the 8th edition of Logismed, in Casablanca, Morocco.

Logismed, the international transport and logistics exhibition for Africa and the Mediterranean, was held under the theme ‘New Accelerator Levers for Logistics and Trade,’ in the Moroccan port city of Casablanca, said a statement.

Abdullah Aldubaikhi, chief executive officer, Bahri, said: “Africa has remained at the centre of global maritime trade with the continent being home to some of the most strategic international gateways, and with sea transportation accounting for over 90 per cent of its imports and exports.”

“Logismed offered us an outstanding platform to connect with potential customers and gain a deeper understanding of new logistics and transportation trends and opportunities in the African market,” he said.

Welcoming maritime industry leaders and professionals to its booth at the event, Bahri highlighted the industry-leading capabilities of its five business units namely, oil, logistics, chemicals, dry bulk, and ship management.

The largest owner and operator of very large crude-oil carriers (VLCCs) in the world and the largest owner and operator of chemical tankers in the Middle East, Bahri offers a diverse range of innovative services that include transportation of crude oil, oil products, chemicals, bulk, and general cargo.

Held at the International Fair of Casablanca (OFEC), Logismed welcomed more than 4,500 visitors and saw the participation of around 200 exhibitors representing key industry players from around the globe, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
