KAPP starts evaluation for Kuwait IWPPs advisory services

KUWAIT CITY, March 26, 2019

The Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects said it has begun the financial evaluation for the provision of transaction advisory services for Phase Two and Three of Az-Zour North and Phase One of the Al Khairan Independent Water and Power Projects (IWPPs).

Three consortia have qualified for the final round following a technical evaluation by the project’s committee comprising representatives from the Ministry of Electricity and Water and KAPP, it said.

The list includes a consortia comprising Ernst & Young, CMS and Mott McDonald; another of PriceWaterHouseCoopers, Fichtner and Ashurst; and SMSC Bank, Atkins and DLA Pipper.

Each of these consortiums has already submitted their technical and financial proposals in response to the KAPP bids seeking transaction advisory services for the IWPPs, said a statement from the authority.

The projects will be carried out on a design, build, finance, operation and maintenance and transfer basis in line with Law 39/2010 and Law 116/2014 as to partnerships between public and private sectors, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
