Free certified training sessions at Riyadh HVAC R Expo

RIYADH, January 18, 2019

Regional authorities including the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (Saso), GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) and Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) will present free and certified training sessions at HVAC R Expo Saudi.

With over 25 free workshops on offer, HVAC R Expo Saudi will run from January 28 to 30 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center (RICEC).

On the back of Saudi Vision 2030, which calls for ambitious sustainability targets across the kingdom, the region’s largest dedicated HVAC R business event will host specialists from Saso, GSO and SCE amongst other credible entities.

Set to shed light on the latest efficiency guidelines in the HVAC R industry, these authorities will feature throughout a free and certified training agenda at HVAC R Expo Saudi from 28-30 January 2019 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center (RICEC).

On the upcoming expo, Engineer Zayed Mohsen Albagami, the deputy director of Energy Efficiency at Saso, said: "HVAC R Expo Saudi 2019 is important for Saso and for the kingdom as a whole to support and enhance Saudi Vision 2030 at this time.”

“The role of Saso towards this goal is to help the manufacturer himself adopt a sustainable approach. We implement this through a variety of initiatives, whether it be the issuance of new standards on energy efficiency, raising awareness in the media or finally by holding workshops – as we will do at HVAC R Expo Saudi 2019."

"In line with the 2030 initiative, the Saudi Government has enacted Saso regulations 2663 & 2874 which improve the efficiency level of all air conditioning equipment.  They have also introduced a district cooling framework for new developments exceeding 15,000 tons," he added.

Engineer Basem Salameh, the conformity specialist at GSO, highlights the regional framework surrounding HVAC R standardization: "We aim to harmonize the standardization activities among the GCC member states in order to facilitate both international and intra trade, and to remove technical barriers for economic operators."

“GSO has approved the Gulf Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances, which includes air conditioners to ensure unified safety essential requirements and to carry out one conformity Assessment procedures for AC Safety.”

Engineer Basem Salameh will also introduce final drafts of coming regulations which will cover HVAC R equipment, specifically EMC Electro-Magnetic Compatibilities and Machinery Technical Regulations.

Along with presentations by Saso, GSO and SCE, the workshop agenda at HVAC R Expo Saudi 2019 will include training sessions from industry leaders Carrier, Samsung Electronics, Midea RAC, Al Salem Johnson Controls, and Shaker Group (LG) to name but a few.

With over 25 sessions on offer and running across two workshop theatres, the education offer will accommodate twice the number of delegates compared to the previous edition. Session topics will cover efficient techniques for indoor cooling, dual sensing technology, smart and digital solutions and much more.

AbdulRouf Pandith, Senior Mechanical Engineer at KEO International Consultants and speaker at the event comments: “By inviting and bringing together government stakeholders, policy and decision makers, and leaders from the Utility sector across the country, HVAC R Expo Saudi can mark a new era in the cooling sector.”

Roni El Haddad, the event director, said: "We are extremely honoured to welcome Saso, GSO & SCE on-board at HVAC R Expo Saudi 2019."

"While the kingdom is coming together to fulfil the objectives laid out by Saudi Vision 2030, the time is now to bring these authorities on-board and to work with them to ensure that HVAC R professionals can achieve the highest standards within their field," he added.

HVAC R Expo Saudi will also bring together more than 85 of the industry’s heavyweights to showcase the most innovative industry solutions and products at the event. Countries represented will include Turkey, China, US, France, Italy, UAE, Singapore, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and more.-TradeArabia News Service
