RAK delegation discusses opportunities in Mauritius

UAE, August 28, 2017

A delegation from RAK International Corporate Centre (RAKICC), a premium corporate registry for International Business Companies (IBCs), travelled to Mauritius in its latest effort to engage with international businesses seeking to learn more about commercial opportunities in the UAE.

The delegation was led by RAKICC’s chief executive officer Joe Moynihan who served as keynote speaker to discuss the evolving environment of international business and financial centres for Africa, as well as the benefits of incorporating in the UAE, specifically Ras Al Khaimah, said a statement.

Moynihan said: “We are grateful to the Mauritius Africa Business Club for the opportunity to engage with the African business community.”

“The UAE and Mauritius enjoy strong links through travel, trade and commerce, and we expect these links to grow even closer in the coming years,” he said.

“We look forward to continuing to inform African businesses on the wide range of opportunities available in Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE,” he added.

Mauritius has emerged as a standout African economy, recording 3.8 per cent GDP growth in 2016, said a statement.

The UAE and Mauritius enjoy a number of strong commercial links, as both countries benefit from a number of bilateral taxation and investment agreements to promote commerce between the two countries.

As a corporate registry, RAKICC is responsible for the registration and incorporation of International Business Companies, as well as providing a full suite of registry services related to business activity for companies from all over the world.

Businesses that set up in Ras Al Khaimah typically trade internationally, invest around the world and own property assets globally, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
