Dubai aluminium expo to draw over 200 firms

DUBAI, May 11, 2017

More than 200 exhibitors from around 30 countries will be showcasing their latest solutions at the Aluminium Middle East Exhibition which kicks off in Dubai, UAE next week.

A leading event for aluminium products, technologies and investments in the region, Aluminium Middle East will take place from May 15 to 17, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The growing focus laid by the region's countries on the diversification of their economic programmes will be optimally reflected at the event, reported state news agency Wam.

The exhibition will feature two specialised areas dedicated to occupational health and small and medium scale enterprises where GCC states participating in the exhibition will showcase their efforts to diversify their economies away from the sheer reliance on oil revenues, it added.

The event, which will have exhibiting spaces for Germany, Italy, India, China, North America and Egypt, is expected to see participation from over 3,400 professionals from more than 90 countries.

Dubai is the Arab region's largest producer of aluminium, with the emirate boasting a massive industrial and manufacturing base that ensures increasing growth prospects for the industry as envisaged by the Dubai Industrial Strategy.
