MBRF launches training programmes for firms

DUBAI, February 8, 2017

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF) has launched a series of social responsibility training programmes through its knowledge affiliate Qindeel Educational.

MBRF, a member of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, launched Qindeel Educational as a contribution towards the “Year of Giving 2017” initiative.

The programmes, launched during a press conference held today at the foundation’s headquarters, provide CSR-related consulting and training services to public and private organisations in the UAE.

Speaking at the press conference, Jamal bin Huwaireb, managing director of MBRF, said with Qindeel Educational, the foundation hopes to make an immense contribution to society by promoting social responsibility in the UAE.

“In line with the ‘Year of Giving 2017’ initiative, announced by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE,” Bin Huwaireb said, “the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation is committed to playing a positive role in society and to motivating young people, educating them, and developing and channelling their capacities towards the sustainable development of society as a whole.”

“We will be launching a range of quality programmes that promote the concept of social responsibility among companies and institutions, and provide advisory and training support in this area. The Foundation will also be working to identify best practices when it comes to social responsibility, looking back on international success stories and working to implement them in the UAE,” he added.

“The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation and ‘Qindeel Educational’ will cooperate to train qualified individuals working in social responsibility and provide them with necessary counsel in all matters related to this field,” he explained.

Qindeel Educational is set to collaborate with various partners and international experts in the field of social responsibility, and will work to evaluate CSR activities in companies and institutions across the UAE that have them, all the while helping others to establish their own CSR units.

It will also organise a forum on social responsibility in the last quarter of this year, and will work with international bodies to establish a specialised index to track social responsibility, MBRF said. – TradeArabia News Service
