Unikai to unveil premium ice cream brand at Gulfood 2017

DUBAI, January 23, 2017

Unikai, one of the oldest food and beverage conglomerates on the Arabian Peninsula, is set to showcase its product portfolio at Gulfood 2017, the world’s largest food and beverage exhibition taking place in Dubai next month.
 
From February 26 to March 2, the company’s stand C7-40, located in the Power Brands section in Hall 7, invites customers and exhibitors to view and taste its wide range of dairy, juices, ice creams and food products.

Neeraj Vohra, CEO of Unikai, said: “Gulfood is an ideal platform for us to engage with existing and potential customers while gaining precious insight into their likes and requirements. This year, we plan to offer visitors an exclusive first taste of our new premium ice cream brand and are excited to see their on-spot reaction to the product.”

Currently in its 22nd year, Gulfood brings together food and beverage (F&B) professionals and consumers from around the world to experience the latest tastes, trends and innovations that define the F&B industry. In 2017, the exhibition will undergo a revolutionary change in layout, format and visitor experience and shift focus from raw materials and ingredients to finished food and beverages.  

Vohra added: “With the dairy and beverage categories accounting for the majority of our sales volumes and revenues, we are excited about the new format of the exhibition that will enable us to present our product offering in the best light. The emphasis on finished goods will provide us with even better access to our end customers and enable us to finalise new business deals. We also have our sights set on potential export opportunities that the platform encourages.”

Following a strong debut showing at Gulfood 2016, Unikai has great expectations from the upcoming edition. Last year, the company distributed more than 17,000 samples, generated over 300 new business enquiries, launched a successful export venture in Iraq and established cross-border partnerships in Bahrain and Qatar.
