China firm to transfer aluminium technology to Iran

TEHRAN, December 20, 2016

China-based Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Company (NFC) will transfer modern technologies for the production of aluminium ingot to Iran, said a senior company official.

NFC plans to transfer its latest know-how on aluminium smelters to Iran following the latest advancements made by China in the mining sector, Qin Junman, deputy head of NFC, was quoted as saying in an Iran Daily News report.

Junman added that energy consumption will be reduced to its lowest as Iranian smelters employ the technology.

He further noted that NFC will cooperate with Iranian companies on extraction of gold, copper, lead and zinc in the near future.

The company also plans to cooperate in the construction of water desalination plants in central Iran including Kerman Province, added the official.
