Siemon, a leading global network infrastructure specialist, has announced the expansion of its RS series of equipment racks in the Middle East with a new cost-effective Value Rack.

This sturdy 2-post open rack for mounting and securing IT equipment in a variety of telecommunications spaces saves time, money and valuable floor space.

It features EIA-310-D 19-inch universal rail spacing with mounting holes in 3 in (76mm) deep channels and 1.75 in (44.5mm) marked and numbered U spaces, said a company statement.

Siemon’s Value Rack is easy to assemble with standard hand tools and mounting holes for anchoring to the floor whilst its heavy duty construction offers a 544 kg capacity.

The rack features an integrated ground path with bonded assembly and ground studs, an open header design for routing cables and securing cable tray and U space markings that remain clearly visible with rack-mounted equipment installed, it stated.

“We are pleased to round out our full line of racks with a less expensive, yet highly durable 2-post rack that meets the industry need for this common IT equipment mounting solution whilst offering some unique differentiators,” remarked Narender Vasandani, technical manager Middle East and India at Siemon.

“Not only is the Value Rack compatible with Siemon’s full range of cable management solutions, but unlike other racks on the market, having U space markings that remain visible with equipment installed helps to facilitate moves, adds and changes,” he noted.

The new Value Rack offers 45U of space and is fully compatible with Siemon’s wide range of vertical and horizontal cable managers and accessories that allow for customisation of a complete racking solution.

These include cable hangers, front mount panel and multi-access horizontal cable managers as well as vertical cable management and patching channels.-TradeArabia News Service
