Dafza highlights zone's facilities at Korea events

Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (Dafza) recently held a series of seminars in South Korea for the Korean business community as part of its initiative to highlight its latest business developments and facilitate trade relations among foreign business communities worldwide.

The seminars were held in partnership with the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), South Korea’s largest business association supported by more than 71 local chambers, said a statement.

Jamal Bin Marghoob, director for marketing and corporate communication, Dafza, led the delegation in a series of business meetings and seminars about the freezone’s growth and the various industries that have expanded in the community.

The Dafza delegation further noted that the visit aimed to boost foreign investments from South Korea, which currently enjoys a robust trade relations and investments with Dubai and the UAE.

The UAE is one of South Korea’s leading trade partners in the Middle East. Over the years, South Korea’s growth in the UAE have been on a continued growth trajectory with trade between the two nations.

The Dafza delegation sought to engage the participation of South Korean companies looking to expand in the region and seize the opportunity of an emerging global city which will host World Expo 2020.

A number of high-value South Korean firms have long established their regional hub in Dafza, taking advantage of the benefits of the free zone’s premium services, state-of-the-art facilities, strategic location, and business-friendly policies, while more than 300 South Korean firms are nestled in various business districts in the emirate alone.

The free zone continuously attracts global investors thanks to its many key incentives, including 100 per cent tax exemption and foreign ownership; zero currency restrictions; business-friendly regulatory environment; employee sponsorship; a single-window convenience for administrative services; round-the-clock customs services and rapid cargo clearance; and dedicated logistics services and assistance, the statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
