Toshiba Tec unveils 6-inch width label printer

TOKYO, September 22, 2016

Japan's Toshiba Tec Corporation has unveiled its newly-developed, six-inch industrial label printer, B-EX6.

Toshiba’s newest flagship model in its B-EX series couples the performance and speed necessary to handle even the most rugged industrial applications, a statement said.

B-EX6 model is capable of printing on various types of 6-inch labels, which is essential for the manufacturing (including automotive and chemical), transportation, logistics, and healthcare industries. It is particularly suited for the manufacturing industry, which requires labelling for large parts as well as material labels that describe the type and contents of the handling unit and pallet.

Toshiba’s latest label printer’s most unique features include 305dpi high resolution print quality – via temperature control of thermal head – and faster throughput achieved through advanced data processing.

The innovatively-designed B-EX6 features an intuitive ribbon and paper setting and Toshiba’s original “bi-fold cover” to reduce footprint and opening space. Moreover, an optional built-in label cutter enables users to easily clean the cutter blade. The label printer includes both USB and Ethernet ports for easy connectivity. Connecting to smart devices can also be achieved via the Bluetooth, and allows parameter settings directly from the user’s smart phone or mobile device.

B-EX6 includes Toshiba’s leading ribbon saving capability, rugged design, and extended long-life print head. The label printer additionally includes the capability to store 800 meter ribbons which reduces the need to replace labels by half.

“We are excited to introduce our latest label printer for customers seeking to address a diverse array of labelling needs. B-EX6 combines ease-of-operation functionality with premium capabilities while lowering customers’ operating costs. We believe our new flagship model is the best label printer in its class,” said Michio Suzuki, general manager of Auto-ID Business Group. – TradeArabia News Service
