Enoc honoured at CIPS award ceremony

DUBAI, UAE , May 8, 2016

Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc) has received three awards during the annual Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Supply Management awards ceremony held in Dubai recently.

The company was recognised as the ‘Overall Winner’ for 2016 in addition to winning two categories – ‘Best People Development’ and ‘Best Supplier Relationship Management’.

The acknowledgement came for the Group’s exceptional efforts and performance in procurement proficiency and transparency in doing businesses in the supply chain management, said a press release.

“The awards demonstrate our relentless efforts and continuous improvement in the procurement and supply management domains, which are two main indicators for the successes of oil and gas companies, especially in the Middle East region and with what it affords of geopolitical flexibility and challenges at the same time,” said Saif Humaid Al Falasi, group chief executive of Enoc.

Abdulsalam Al Hammadi, director of procurement and contracts at Enoc, added: “At Enoc, we run an internal programme to identify and fill performance gaps, and employ and nurture young professionals from the region and the UAE. This unique initiative has helped us maintain qualified team members for years and added significant value to our business in all sectors.” – TradeArabia News Service
