Emirates Steel celebrates World Heritage Day

UAE, April 18, 2016

Emirates Steel, a subsidiary of Senaat, today (April 18) celebrated the World Heritage Day, proud of its Emirati heritage and seeking to maintain and impart its values to younger generations.

The World Heritage Day celebration drives Emirates Steels’ efforts to implant and promote national identity, being very conscious that nations derive their identity from the heritage that runs deep in the veins of their citizens and the culture that is profoundly rooted in history, said a statement from the company.

Following its commitment to promote and reinforce the company’s social responsibility role, Emirates Steel organised this day with contests related to the Emirati heritage, customs and traditions that constitute the rich heritage of the Emirates people, said the statement.

Additionally, there was traditional food present in the headquarters and other buildings of the company to revive the taste pallet of people and remind them of the tastes of the past. The company’s celebrations were not only targeted to local employees to remind them of their heritage, but were also targeted to non-local employees to teach them of our culture and traditions. Hence, employees from all nationalities joined the cultural activities and participated in competitive heritage contests demonstrating deep knowledge in the Emirati culture and heritage.

Established in 1998, Emirates Steel grew in a relatively short period of time from a simple re-roller of imported steel billets to a complex integrated manufacturing plant, using modern solutions to tackle traditional industrial problems to generate value for its various stakeholders. – TradeArabia News Service
