Lockheed Martin’s CEO visits UAE centre

ABU DHABI, March 20, 2016

Lockheed Martin announced that its chairman, president and CEO Marillyn Hewson recently visited the company’s Centre for Innovation and Security Solutions in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The company’s centre celebrated its first full year of operations this month, and also congratulated Emirati students who participated in a knowledge-sharing training programme at the centre, said a statement from the company.

The centre serves as a model for international government, industry, and academic collaboration to provide Emirati students with world-class training and skill development, it added.

Speaking about the training course, Azza Salem Al Bakr, a student participant from Masdar Institute said: “The course helped me develop the modelling and simulation skills needed to analyse aerospace missions and visualise dynamic datasets.”

“I have always been an aviation enthusiast and receiving the opportunity to train on a flight simulator at Lockheed Martin was a dream come true,” she added. – TradeArabia News Service
