Key aerospace challenges in focus at Abu Dhabi summit

ABU DHABI, March 2, 2016

More than 1,000 c-level executives from the aviation and aerospace sector will come together to discuss the key challenges facing the aerospace, aviation, space and defense industries at a summit in Abu Dhabi this month.
 
The third Global Aerospace Summit, being hosted by Abu Dhabi-based investment and development firm Mubadala Development Company, will take place on March 7 and 8 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.
 
The summit will take place during Abu Dhabi Aviation and Aerospace Week (ADAAW), which will bring together a collection of world-class events, exhibitions, conferences and seminars across all aspects of aviation and aerospace.
 
It will set the stage for engaging debates around innovation in the aerospace sector; including the adoption of cutting edge technology and the new ways of doing business in today’s marketplace.  
 
Homaid Al Shemmari, chief executive officer of Aerospace and Engineering Services at Mubadala, said: “The Global Aerospace Summit is the perfect venue to engage with peers in strategic and forward looking discussions on the state of our industry. 
 
"It provides a platform to showcase the progress Mubadala has made in developing a global aerospace hub for Abu Dhabi, and sets the stage for further collaboration with our partners to enhance the local eco-system.”
 
The opening session of the summit will include a welcome address by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, group CEO and managing director, Mubadala Development Company; and a keynote address by James Hogan, president and chief executive officer, Etihad Airways.
 
The summit will also feature a number of industry talks with prestigious speakers from around the world to discuss the future of aviation and aerospace industry. - TradeArabia News Service
