Fives Group wins $400m aluminium project in Iran

France-based Fives Group, a leading industrial engineering company, has been awarded a $400-million deal to set up a major aluminium plant in Iran, a report said.

The deal was signed with the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), and will see Fives increase Iran’s production of aluminium anodes by 450,000 tonnes in a year, said the Iran Business News report

Fives designs and supplies machines, process equipment and production lines for the world’s largest industrial groups including the aluminium, steel, glass, automotive, aerospace, logistics, cement and energy sectors, added the report.
