Iran to launch Damavand petchem project by March

Iran is set to launch a section of Damavand Petrochemical Plant by mid-March next year, according to a report.
As many as 19 major petrochemical projects are expected to become operational by September 2017, Marzieh Shah-Daei, director of projects at National Petrochemical Company (NPC) was quoted as saying in the Iran Daily report.
About 67 projects are currently under implementation in Iran of which 16 projects have witnessed over 87 per cent progress and are NPC's top priority for completion, it said.
"It is estimated that the projects will require $40 billion for completion," Shah-Daei added.
