Eight businessmen honoured at Saudi mining event

RIYADH, October 29, 2015

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Ali Al-Naimi, presented partnership awards to eight local and international business leaders at the Saudi Mining and Minerals Exhibition and Symposium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The awards were received by Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden)  president and chief executive officer Khalid al-Mudaifer; Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) president Zohair A Nawab; National Industrial Cluster Development Program president Khalild al-Salem; Atheeb Intergraph Saudi Company (AISC) vice president Fahad al-Saneea; Outotec vice president Pentti Korjonen; Saudi Specialty Chemical Industries Company Limited (SSCI) chief executive officer Jamal Matalka; The Saudi British Bank head of Saudi global corporates Mazen AlBanuyan, and ThyssenKrupp Saudi Arabian Contracting chief executive officer Thomas Dreiling.

The inaugural event for Saudi Arabia’s mining industry is designed to engage all stakeholders in the sector from upstream exploration to downstream industrial development, said a statement.

The Saudi Mining and Minerals Symposium 2015, jointly organised by MEED Events and Montgomery Star, is supported by Saudi’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the National Industrial Cluster Development Programme; as well as Ma’aden, Atheeb Intergraph Saudi Company, Outotec, Ali Salem Al Raddadi Factory, Saudi Specialty Chemical Ind Co Ltd, ThyssenKrupp, SRK Consulting, Roscoe Postle Associates, Inc. and The Saudi British Bank.

The three-day exhibition and symposium concludes today (October 29) at the Prince Sultan Grand Hall, Al Faisaliah Exhibition & Convention Centre. – TradeArabia News Service
