Holtkamp with award at the event

Napco CEO wins top Aiwa award

MUSCAT, June 29, 2015

Oman-based National Aluminium Products Company (Napco), one of the leading extruders of aluminium profiles in the GCC, announced that its CEO has been recognised for an award from Alam al-Iktisaad Wal A’mal (Aiwa), the sultanate’s leading Arabic business magazine published by United Media Services.

Robert Holtkamp received the ‘Most Outstanding Corporate Leader’ award at the 5th edition of the award ceremony which was held in Oman recently, said a statement from the company.

He won the award for displaying exceptional foresight in spearheading the company’s growth and expansion in just a short span of time, it said.

Under Holtkamp’ leadership, Napco registered a four per cent increase in revenues in 2014 which soared to RO19.4 million ($50.2 million) compared to the previous year - despite taking charge in the second quarter, said the statement.

Additionally, all production divisions, including extrusion, powder coating, anodising, wood finish, and dispatch saw a boost in output. The powder coating facility produced 605 metric tonnes in December 2014, the highest in the company’s history, it added.

In 2015, the company increased capacity by 45 to 50 per cent from the existing capacity of the plant.

The company also plans to expand its land space to 60,000 sq m from the existing 45,000 sq m in order to accommodate four extrusion presses, vertical and horizontal powder coating lines, one anodising line, two wood-finish lines, a thermal crimping facility, and a bending facility by the end of 2015.

Speaking on the win, Holtkamp said: “To see the company treading on the path I had envisioned for it almost a year back makes the award more special and I am confident that it will continue to achieve all the milestones on its road to enduring success.” – TradeArabia News Service
