Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), one of the world’s leading aluminium smelters, today received Bakyt Batyrshayev ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia.

Batyrshayev was welcomed by chief operations officer, Isa Al-Ansari; chief financial officer, Ali Al-Baqali and other senior company officials, said a statement from Alba.

The main purpose of the visit was to meet the Alba representatives and learn more about the smelter’s production processes as well as its role in supporting Bahrain’s economy, it added.

During the visit, bilateral and business relations between the Bahrain and Kazakhstan were also briefly discussed, said the statement.

The ambassador was also given a tour of Alba where he was briefed about the smelter’s operations as well as its various safety, health and environment systems in place.

On the visit, Al-Ansari said: “We appreciate such meetings as they contribute towards enhancing economic relations between our countries.” – TradeArabia News Service
