The Supreme 41

Top yachts, boats on show at Bahrain maritime event

MANAMA, March 16, 2015

Around 50 yachts, boats and jet skis will go on display next week during a three-day maritime show at Amwaj Islands.

The Amwaj Marina Boat Show 2015 will take place from March 26 to 28 at Amwaj Marina, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Organisers hope to attract thousands of visitors from around the GCC, with new and pre-owned boats and other maritime products on sale.

The show will feature 16 yachts and boats, ranging from 42 feet to 122 feet in length, that will be displayed on water and another 30 boats of various sizes on land.

“The previous exhibition was extremely successful with a high number of boat sales, jet skis and accessories and we expect further support from exhibitors and interested buyers for this show,” said Amwaj Marina general manager Ali Fardan.

Only regional exhibitors are taking part and one of the main attractions will be a super yacht launched earlier this year by UAE-yacht builder Gulf Craft.

The Majesty 122 has a fuel capacity of more than 25,000 litres and was launched during the Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS).

Suprema Marine will also showcase its new Supreme 41, which was built by Italian builders and has a fuel capacity of 1,800 litres.

The boat show will also feature family entertainment, live events and a dining area, as well as competitions and raffles.

Tickets are priced BD2 ($5) per day for adults, while children under 12 can enter for free.

The show will take place from 3.30pm to 9.30pm each day and proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to a local charity. - TradeArabia News Service
