Dubai-based Fast Logistics Solutions (FLS) Group, a leader in global transportation and logistics, has announced plans to widen its bouquet of services and expand its coverage globally.

The group has appoined Peter Scholten as its chief executive officer to further expand the company's operations.

FLS Group was founded in January 2015 as holding company for Fast Forward Cargo, First Priority Cargo, Fast Forward Solutions and several other companies.

The group offers an array of services, including scheduled air cargo services, air cargo charter solutions, international ocean freight, multi-modal air-sea-land door-to-door solutions, customs clearance, 3PL warehousing and distribution services.

In 2014 FLS Group generated $200 million revenue with airfreight volumes at 45,000 tonnes and ocean freight volumes at 20,000 TEUs. FLS Group employs 700 staff (500 in UAE) in a network of 40 offices across UAE, Africa and Asia.

Al Ameen, chairman and founder of the group, said: "With the vast industry experience we come with, we are looking to foray into the untapped segments of the industry."  

Al Ameen said the company was looking to cash in on the rich industry experience Scholten brings with him.
