DHL plans Egypt expansion, Suez Canal centre

CAIRO, February 16, 2015

DHL, a leader in global express shipping, plans to add new shipping lanes in Egypt and offer logistics support from Cairo International Airport as well as participate in the new Suez Canal project, a report said.

DHL is currently taking part in preparations for the “Egypt The Future” economic development conference to be held in March, Ken Allen, CEO of Global DHL, was quoted as saying during his meeting Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb in the Daily News Egypt report.

DHL will also increase the centre’s area at Cairo airport soon and offer necessary logistical needs, added Nour Suliman, CEO of DHL in the Mena region.

He explained the company is in partnership with Egypt Post, with agreements to offer trainings and transfer technology and experience, adding that the company will increase its tie-ups with Egypt Air.
