Alba appoints two new managers

MANAMA, February 2, 2015

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), one of the leading employers in Bahrain, has appointed Talib Hussain Al Ansari as manager workshop and maintenance services and Khalil Ebrahim Mohammed as manager reduction line 4.

Al Ansari joined Alba in 1996 as a trainee supervisor, casthouse, and worked in various departments including casthouse and workshop and maintenance services. He was made superintendent vehicle maintenance in 2006 and consequently promoted to senior superintendent in 2014. A B.Sc graduate in Electric Engineering from the University of Bahrain, Al Ansari is currently pursuing Executive MBA from Ecole supérieure des sciences économiques et commerciales (ESSEC).

Mohammed started his career in Alba as a process control shift operator in 1996 and in 2002 was promoted to process control supervisor. With extensive knowledge in operations, he was made operations superintendent reduction lines 4 and 5 in 2010. Mohammed has a B.Sc in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Huddersfield, UK and is now in the process of completing his Executive MBA from ESSEC.

Alba chief executive officer Tim Murray said: “Alba is committed to provide opportunities for Bahraini nationals to grow in their careers and empower them with higher education and work skills to take up greater responsibilities. Taleb and Khalil have each demonstrated excellence and dedication in their performance and I am certain they will continue to shine in the new roles.”

With a total workforce of approximately 3,000 people, Alba boasts a Bahrainisation rate of almost 87 per cent and has established itself as a key supporter of the kingdom's Bahrainisation efforts, the company said. - TradeArabia News Service
