Shell Oman awarded for contribution to Omanisation

MUSCAT, January 13, 2015

Shell Oman Marketing Company, a leading fuel marketing company in the Sultanate, has been recognised by the Ministry of Manpower for its contribution to the employment of national manpower and its compliance with the labour legislations.

Shell Oman, with an Omanisation rate of 88 per cent, leads the category in the retail and marketing sector, said a statement.

The event, which was held at the Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz Carlton Hotel recently,  honoured the Sultanate’s leading organisations in the field of national manpower employment and recognised enterprising Omanis, media personnel and organisations for the year 2014.

Haitham Al Ismaily, human resources and administration manager at Shell Oman, said: “The award comes as a testament to the company’s commitment to sustainable development, corporate social responsibility and Omanisation initiatives.
