Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has provided "Gold" sponsorship to the ongoing third Middle East Maintenance Conference and Exhibition (MaintCon) 2014.

This, the company said, underlines its commitment to promoting a comprehensive understanding of the latest trends, developments and technologies in maintenance, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Organised by the Gulf Society of Maintenance Professionals in co-operation with the Bahrain Society of Engineers, the four-day event, being held at the Gulf Hotel, concludes today (December 10).

Energy Minister Dr Abdulhussain Mirza inaugurated the event and visited Alba's stand at the exhibition.

He was received by the company's director for Line 6 project and engineering Shawqi Al Hashimi, engineering manager A Rahim Mohammed and Carbon 3 manager Gopichand Talreja along with other employees.

"Operational efficiency is a key motivator at Alba and we continuously work towards implementing technologies and systems that improve productivity and boost efficiency," Al Hashimi said.
