Emirates Steel....honoured for world-class steel products.

Emirates Steel wins SKEA Gold award

ABU DHABI, November 26, 2014

UAE’s top steelmaker Emirates Steel has won the Gold category of the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA 2014) recently.

It was presented by Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, at a ceremony held at the Emirates Palace, said a statement.

Saeed G Al Romaithi, chief executive officer, said: “We are honoured to receive this prestigious award, which comes to acknowledge our dedication and efforts in focusing on our customers and providing them with world-class steel products.”

Winning the Gold Category demonstrates the Abu Dhabi-based steelmaker’s continuous improvements in its manufacturing process and the significant changes the $3 billion company has brought to all of its product range delivery, said a statement.

“The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award is a testimony to our unwavering commitment to excellence. Our mandate has been to etch the fundamental tenet of excellence across the length and breadth of our ever-growing portfolio of steel products and to redefine the benchmarks of quality in all the regions where we market and sell our products,” said Al Romaithi.

Emirates Steel is owned by Senaat, the UAE’s largest industrial conglomerate and a driving force for implementing the Abu Dhabi government’s industrial diversification policy.

It is an integrated steel plant in the UAE, which utilises the latest rolling mill technology to produce rebar, wire rod and heavy sections. - TradeArabia News Service
