Equate Petrochemical Company, Kuwait’s first international petrochemical joint venture, has received the BGreen’s Lifetime Achievement Award 2014 for sustainability related achievements.

The award was received by Equate corporate communications leader Kholoud Al Feeli during an event in Dubai, UAE.

The BGreen awards recognise companies dedicated to promoting the best possible environmental, social and economic conditions to develop and maintain efficient production.

Equate president and CEO Mohammad Husain said: “Sustainability constitutes a critical element in each and every strategy and initiative executed by the company, especially regarding the environment. Sustainability, as a fundamental objective, is not limited to being a slogan, it is one of the most important practical measures for success and development that must be considered at all levels.”

Established in 1995, Equate is an joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), Boubyan Petrochemical Company (BPC) and Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company (QPIC). -TradeArabia News Service
