Napco orders two latest extrusion presses

MUSCAT, October 28, 2014

Oman-based National Aluminium Products Company (Napco), one of the leading extruders of aluminium profiles in the GCC, has signed a contract with a leading European supplier for two extrusion presses as part of its aggressive plans to increase production.

The strategic partnership will ensure that the presses are made according to the company’s specification with a capability to handle various profile sizes, Napco said.

The state-of-the-art extrusion presses feature intelligent control systems with sophisticated man-machine interface, tool management, block reports, production control, computer connection, and practical technology software.

The civil works for both extrusion presses have already commenced with the first press to be operational by August 2015 and the second one to be fully functional by December of next year.

Sayyid Wasfi Jamshid Abdullah Al Said, chairman of  Napco, said: “Napco currently boasts of a production capacity of between 18,000 and 20,000 metric tonnes. We are aiming to increase our capacity to address increased demand for Napco products and our deal for two new extrusion presses is in line with this. The benefits of the new presses include high productivity, easy availability, and excellent sectional quality.”
