International speakers will discuss latest issues related to the maritime landscape at a summit in Dubai, UAE, later this month.

The Dubai Maritime Summit 2014 will take place on October 27 as part of the second edition of Dubai Maritime Week, said Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA), the government authority charged with regulating, coordinating and supervising all aspects of Dubai’s maritime sector, which is also the host of the event.

Dr Abdullah Belhaif Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works and Chairman of the National Transport Authority (NTA), will take part in the summit as a keynote speaker, accompanied by a number of high-profile industry experts, decision-makers and professionals from all over the world to discuss the issues and showcase latest developments in Dubai’s maritime sector.

Amer Ali, executive director, DMCA, said: “We expect Dubai Maritime Summit to see a series of live discussions on the latest global maritime industry developments and showcase the ongoing local efforts aimed at promoting international maritime clusters and reinforce Dubai’s position as a leading international maritime destination.

“We are honoured to welcome local, regional and international high-profile industry leaders at this first-ever event to exchange expertise and new ideas. This is a clear indication of the summit’s strategic importance as an ideal platform gathering leading experts and industry professionals under one objective to promote the international maritime sector and increase its contribution to global economy.” - TradeArabia News Service
