Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) marked International Labour Day with a Family Day event for all Alba employees and their families, which was held at the Alba Club.

Organised and conducted by Alba Labour Union and supported by Alba’s executive management, the day-long event on May 2 comprised activities for the entire family, and included games, refreshments, competitions, music and entertainment.

A raffle draw was also held for all those who attended the event with the top prizes being a Kia Rio 2014 and a Harley Davidson bike.

Alba’s chief executive officer Tim Murray said: “We express thanks to our dedicated and loyal workforce for their support in bringing success to Alba. The Family Day event is one of the ways we recognise the hard work and loyalty of our people as well as acknowledge their families’ support in Alba’s success.”

Chairman of Alba’s Labour Union Ali Al Binali said: “Alba’s Family Day event is a celebration of the International Labour Day, which recognises the workers’ contribution towards an organisation’s success.
