Manama, November 5, 2013

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) is showcasing its portfolio of high-grade aluminium products at the 17th International Arab Aluminium Conference & Exhibition (Arabal 2013) taking place in Abu Dhabi.

The Bahrain-based company, a sponsor of the event running from November 5 to 7 at the St Regis Hotel, Saadiyat Island, will also highlight its quality focused production process and environmentally-friendly and safety conscious operations.

Alba’s chief executive officer, Tim Murray will join key members of other GCC smelters for a panel discussion on “GCC smelters – opportunities, investments & future plans”, which will include discussions on various subjects such as challenges and opportunities for upcoming projects in the GCC, growth capacity in the region and cooperation between the aluminium producers of the Middle East.

“As the first aluminium smelter in the Middle East, Alba is proud to support this prestigious event, which brings global recognition for the region and Bahrain,” said Murray.

“Arabal presents a unique opportunity for smelters in the region to exchange ideas and experiences, learn more about the industry, look at emerging trends, and strengthen ties with all our customers. Alba is honoured to be associated with Arabal, which underlines the company's commitment to foster strong links with smelters in the region and provides a platform for expanding the global presence of Alba's portfolio of high-grade aluminium products.”
