Since its founding in 2002, the Bahrain Specialist Hospital (BSH) has dedicated itself to providing high-quality healthcare that is easily accessible to the communities in Bahrain. 

 

BSH has been credited to be the first hospital in the country to have received The Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation in 2011, and the only hospital in Bahrain to be accredited four times in a row in 2014, 2017 and 2021.

 

Speaking on the occasion Hamid Rashid Al Zayani, Chairman of BSH said: “The aim of starting this hospital was to establish a healthcare facility of the highest standard that would be an excellent landmark in Bahrain where people would get advanced treatment in the country without needing to go overseas for treatment. Before its establishment, several people in the community had to bear the high expense of going overseas to get treated, keeping in mind that many people could not afford.”
