GLOBAL PROTOCOLS FOLLOWED

All 33 Coronavirus patients recovering in Bahrain

MANAMA, February 28, 2020

The 33 Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases currently being treated in Bahrain are showing positive signs of recovery, Dr Safa Al-Khawaja, infectious diseases consultant and head of infection control at the Ministry of Health.

Dr Safa highlighted the quality of ongoing care patients receive from a specialised medical team, in line with global medical protocols, said a Bahrain News Agency report.

Dr Safa noted that citizens  and residents can help prevent the spread of infections by washing their hands thoroughly with soap, refraining from close interactions such as shaking hands, hugging or kissing, in addition to covering their mouths and noses with a tissue while sneezing or sneezing into the crook of their elbow.

Dr Safa reminded citizens and residents who have visited Iran or other COVID-19-affected countries during February to self-isolate immediately and call 444 to schedule medical examination dates, emphasising the need to follow established health guidelines intended to mitigate the spread of the condition.
