Bahrain Medical Society is set to host the annual Bahrain Rheumatology Conference on November 23 and 24 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Being held under the patronage of Dr Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council of Health, the event will include 14 discussion panels and 14 workshops led by 18 doctor speakers from Bahrain and across the world to share their views and expertise.

Dr Manaf Al Qahtani, vice chairman of the BMS commented, “We are honoured to host the next Rheumatology Conference and we look forward to sharing our vision and expertise in the latest developments of diagnosis and treatment of rheumatism.”

“The conference aims to establish links between the health centres in the countries participating in the conference with the universities and the European and American medical centres, which will encourage the participation of the Arab centres in research conducted in the West,” he added.

Therefore, He stressed the importance of attending doctors from all specialties for this conference, especially the doctors of internal diseases, family doctors, and general practitioners.

Panel discussion will include topics in rheumatism, immunology and rheumatoid arthritis, in addition to diagnosis of immunodeficiency diseases, antibody indication and its importance in early diagnosis, the importance of biological treatment in preventing malformations in cases of rheumatism and magnetic resonance in the diagnosis of rheumatic diseases, etc. – TradeArabia News Service
