This takes the total number of international accreditations received by primary health care centres to nine in addition to the diamond category of the Canadian International Accreditation that the sector which comprises 12 primary health care centres received, said a statement from DHA.

They have also previously received the Joint Commission International accreditation.

Humaid Al Qutami, the chairman of the board and director general of the DHA, said the development of the primary health sector was one of the main priorities under its 2016/2021 strategy due to the vital role in implementing prevention and treatment programs as well as health services that the centres provide to their surrounding habitants.

Dr Manal Taryam, the CEO of the primary health sector in Dubai, said customer satisfaction and their trust in the sector’s services was the main reason for these centres getting the international accreditations.

The centres will continuously strive to achieve customer’s satisfaction hence achieving the authority’s strategy goals as a whole, she added.-TradeArabia News Service
