DHA, RTA partner to bolster legal relations

DUBAI, October 9, 2017

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen strategic relations in the field of corporate performance, governance and legal affairs.

The MoU was signed at the DHA headquarters by Jasim Mohammad Al Awadhi, CEO of the Institutional Support Services Sector at DHA, and Nasser Abu Shehab, CEO of the RTA’s Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector, reported Wam, the Emirates official news agency.

Following the signing, Al Awadhi said the RTA is one of the authority’s most strategic partners and strengthening this partnership is an opportunity to support the Dubai government’s developmental drive, especially when it comes to corporate performance, governance and legal affairs.

He said the authority is keen to build strong relationships with all its partners to fulfil the strategic goals of the DHA, which is ultimately the establishment of a healthy and happy community.

He said the MoU aims to fulfil the DHA’s goal to form an integrated health system, managed by the highest standards of institutional performance, which serves public interests and the authority’s customers.

Abu Shehab said that RTA had signed the MoU due to its keenness to co-operate and co-ordinate with Dubai government bodies and institutions to achieve the goal of integrating institutional work to ensure consistent performance, in line with the government’s directives.

He added that focusing on legal affairs ensures control of the performance of government departments, which helps provide greater transparency and corporate governance in the legal field. This is made possible by activating areas of co-operation and exchanging knowledge and relevant expertise.
