Zika virus ‘no threat to Bahrain’

MANAMA, February 2, 2016

The Health Ministry has reassured citizens and residents in Bahrain that there is no risk of Zika viral outbreak in the country as it’s free of the “aedes aegypti” mosquito that carries the disease. Bahrain is in touch with relevant international and regional organisations following the Zika outbreak in 24 countries, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
