Bahraini doctors have been advised against prescribing more than four medicines to one patient at the same time. The practice of prescribing four or more medications, known as ‘polypharmacy,’ could actually harm patients while increasing healthcare costs, according to a World Health Organisation (WHO) expert, reported the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
