Qatar plans to build new 250-bed hospital

Qatar's Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has invited bids from leading contractors for the construction of a new 250-bed hospital near Qatar University, said a report.

The new hospital, to be built on a 62,000 sq m area, will offer health services in various fields such as internal medicine, gynaecology, general surgery, bone surgery and long-term medical care, reported The Gulf Times.

The scope of work includes the construction of an additional building and a car parking facility covering the basement and four storeys over 41,000 sq m that can accommodate 1,200 cars, it added.
