Thumbay Hospital opens new facility in Dubai

DUBAI, May 26, 2015

Thumbay Hospital, a 150-bed private teaching hospital affiliated to the Gulf Medical University, has officially opened in Dubai, UAE.

T P Seetharam, Indian Ambassador to UAE inaugurated the new hospital, in the presence of to hospital officials.

The hospital aims at providing patient-centered care of the highest quality in an academic set up, said a statement.

The new hospital has an initial strength of 150 beds, of which 75 beds are operational, it said.

As part of its strategic plan, the group is in the process of building a network of teaching hospitals under the Thumbay brand, in Ajman, Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, said Thumbay Moideen, founder president.

Plans are also afoot to launch hospitals in India and Qatar, he said.

The hospital also features a 25-chair dental hospital with a full-fledged multi-speciality centre with ultra-modern facilities providing quality healthcare at affordable prices.

This hospital also supports the clinical teaching activities of the College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University.

The dental section will offer services in general dentistry which includes orthodontics, prosthodontics, endodontic and oral surgery.

In the medical section, internal medicine, orthopaedics, radiology, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology services to name a few are offered. - TradeArabia News Service
