Al Hilal Hospital to open more satellite clinics in Bahrain
MANAMA, February 25, 2015
A private hospital has announced plans to open more satellite clinics in Bahrain by the end of next year.
Al Hilal Hospital, in Muharraq, intends to launch new facilities in Manama, Isa Town and Hidd, revealed director Abdul Latheef.
Details of the plan were announced yesterday (February 24) coinciding with the first anniversary of Al Hilal's first satellite facility in Bahrain - the Al Hilal Multi Specialty Medical Centre, in Riffa, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
“Al Hilal is pursuing its plans to extend its services to areas far away from Muharraq and Riffa, where patients are finding it difficult to travel,” said Latheef.
“Other branches of the hospital are due to be established by the end of 2016.
“The proposed branches will be located in Manama, Isa Town and Hidd, which will provide multi-speciality clinical services, diagnostic laboratory, radiography and ultrasonography as part of their services.”
Officials said more than 100,000 patients had so far passed through the doors of Al Hilal Multi Specialty Medical Centre, in Riffa, since it opened one year ago.
It has also hosted 64 free medical camps in which more than 14,000 patients were treated. Al Hilal Hospital first commenced operations in Muharraq in 2006 and now has more than 75 doctors, 25-plus departments and more than 300 staff. - TradeArabia News Service
