Massive growth seen for UAE health sector

Dubai, May 6, 2012

The UAE’s health sector is expected to jump to $11.9 billion by 2015 from $3.2 billion, a staggering 370 per cent growth in three years, according to an expert.

Health tourism is also recording a healthy annual growth of 15 per cent, said Dr Mohaymen Abdelghany, CEO of Saudi German Hospital-Dubai.

Innovation is propelling the UAE’s health sector above its international counterparts, through highly ambitious investments in the country, he said.

Saudi German Hospital-Dubai has attained reputation as a pioneer for its state-of-the-art facilities and methodology, a statement said.

"The UAE health industry’s impressive annual growth is equalled by the 16 per cent annual growth of the Saudi German Hospitals Group. We are no strangers to innovation, with our 24-year track record as regional pioneers. Together we will grow hand in hand with the nation’s health sector,” said  Dr Abdelghany. – TradeArabia News Service
