Bahrain firm launches ready-to-eat brand
Manama

Airplate, a Bahrain-based retail and wholesale food and beverage company, has launched its first, highly anticipated vacuum-packed, ready-to-eat, delicious smoked cut range, under the brand name Greedy Goose.

The product range includes smoked salmon, smoked chicken breast, peppered and plain pastrami beef, and smoked duck breast.

The launch took place today (June 23) at a press conference in the Gulf Hotel.

Airplate is a joint venture between Bahrain Airport Services, the renowned provider of quality ground handling and airline catering services at Bahrain International Airport and EatCorp, a hospitality and leisure group of restaurants specialising in food and beverage services, consultancy and management.

These two pioneering companies noticed a lack of appropriate and competitive food and beverage products suppliers, as well as the consumers’ need for diversity within the growing market, said a statement.

Airplate primarily supplies the supermarkets, restaurants and hotels in Bahrain as well as the surrounding region, it said.

"When Airplate was founded, market researchers set about investigating what the public wanted. A panel of industry experts from nutritionists, food technologists and chefs were consulted and hired to come up with unique and mouth-watering recipes," it said.

These were created and tested in Airplate’s advanced HAACP (hazard analysis and critical control points) certified production facilities until the products were finally approved, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
