AMA International University Bahrain appoints new board

AMA International University Bahrain (AMAIUB) has announced the appointment of its new Board of Directors as well as the approval of a new strategic plan for the University aimed at significantly enhancing its offering and accelerating its development and growth.
The University’s Board comprises Hisham Alrayes as Chairman, Ahmed Kamaluddin as Vice Chairman, and Members: Dr Ghufran Ahmed Jassim, Sameer Ishaq Safi, and Salah Sharif.
Together the Board and management will work closely in the months ahead to deliver the key pillars of the new strategy that has been adopted with an immediate focus on: 
*Improving Governance and Upscaling the Leadership Team and Faculty in order to enhance professional excellence across the institution;
*Launching of New Academic Programs with focus on technology subject to ministry approvals;
*Addressing Education & Training Quality Authority (BQA) and Higher Education Counsel (HEC) Recommendations and Improving Ratings to further build the University’s position and reputation as a leading regional university;
*Optimizing the University’s image, Infrastructure and Campus through planned upgrades and renovations; and
*Adopting a New brand and Identity supported by effective marketing.
Commenting, Alrayes said: “We’re delighted to announce the Board and the new strategy that has been adopted focused on further enhancing the University and ensuring it is better positioned to serve students and meet its vast potential. The strategy we’ve put in place will focus on a range of developments across the University touching every aspect of the way we are governed to how we operate and the high quality education that we aim to offer students. We look forward to building on the strong foundations we enjoy and to seeing swift and meaningful changes implemented in the key areas identified.”
Dr Hassan Al-Mulla, President of the University, added: “I’m very pleased to be serving with this distinguished Board to drive the implementation of our new strategy, which we are confident will allow us to further build capacity and reinforce and strengthen the position of AMAIUB as a leading regional university. We are highly committed to making significant improvements to our programs, faculty, governance and campus, which is the second largest in the kingdom today and which we plan to make the most well-equipped in the very near future.
