Oman Tourism College (OTC) recently signed a partnership with Royal Tulip Hotel Muscat, which will see the hotel will provide training to the college’s students in the hospitality sector as well as the opportunity to participate in the events organised by the hotel.

This agreement seeks to ensure that students from OTC are up-to-date with all the developments in the hospitality sector and other various associated activities, reported Zawya.

Mohamed Shamis Al Rawahi, Head of Internships & Placement at OTC said: “OTC holds great importance to training programmes, as we believe it is an integral part of the students’ study plan regardless of their major. In addition to the theoretical knowledge that the students receive from their academic courses, the tourism and hospitality sectors and other related activities are segments that require practical experience and field training.”

The Customer Service students at OTC recently completed an internship at the Royal Tulip Hotel Muscat. The training focused on several topics that included personal development, customer service, supervisory, communication and documentation.
